Sample My Bad Apple Dish
I decided to name my blog "One Bad Apple Dish" for a bunch of reasons . . .
1. "One Bad Apple" is the name of the Osmonds first hit.
2. I know the real "dish" on the backstage fun and follies!
3. I once spent all day making a pie for Wayne when we were first married, but he didn't eat any of it! It must have been one bad dish!
This blog is a fun experiment for me. There's always a lot to say about traveling--like the time that Wayne lost his luggage, or the time he only brought one pair of underwear for a month-long tour. I also have a lot of funny info about the Brothers--like where Merrill's secret hideouts are in between shows. But, for the most part, this blog is about me, the only woman in a traveling group of musicians . . . 4 Osmond Brothers, 4 band members, and one woman trying to get Wayne to the shows.

Can't wait to read the story's of the woman beside the funny man. Your life must have changed so much when you married Wayne. Very sweet that you want to share some of it with us.

hi kathy, good to see you have your own blog it's fun to read.
Recently I have come to the realisation that Wayne has some similarities to my husband - both love music, Peter had his own band at one time and loves to sing. Both also have what I can only describe as a very funny sense of humor - Peter loves a good joke and some of the jokes Wayne has shared during shows are just the kind that my husband would come out with!
I didn't realize you were now traveling with Wayne, Kathy. I should've realized it with your children all grown. How fun! I hope you enjoy the cruise. Thanks for the blog that I'm looking forward to reading. Happy New Year!

Can't wait to read more, Kathy! Please tell lots of backstage stories about those boys, especially your beloved Wayne. The brothers are the greatest, and at this stage of my life, I feel like I can talk to them as friends (a few times a year at concerts in the Midwest). It's so different from the crazy days of the 70's! Thanks for sharing your family with us.

How do you start a diet while on a cruise?
KATHY, So is this going to be more about you losing weight? I haven't seen a pic of you in a really long time. Im sure you are as beautiful as you always were. Living with Wayne must keep you laughing all the time. I just love his nutty jokes. Its fun to chat with him after the shows. He is so smart. I would love to meet you some time.

Kathy I have been following the Osmond Brothers since 1972, I would read everything I could get my hands on to find out more about the brothers and their wives. Please do share. Even at the ripe old age of 49 I still love them! I was on the Liberty of Sea's cruise in March of 2008 and Jay came to wake you and Wayne up to sign an autograph, I felt so bad for disturbing you...seem Jay didn't' think nothing of it!! lol Thank you for putting up with us fans. I am taking another cruise in February...was looking for the brothers to be on, but haven't seen any postings yet. I promise if I meet Jay again, I won't let him wake you guys! lol Take care.

Hi Kathy! I love this! I've been an Osmond fan since I was 5. It's been almost 40 years now, since I'll be 45 May 4th.
I was trying to figure out how to submit a diet tip on the FRIENDS site but couldn't, so this is what I do: I eat off of salad plates, rather than regular plates because they are smaller. Hence, you can't put as much food of them(smaller portions). Second, I eat with chopsticks alot. You have to take smaller bites and it takes a little longer. Hence, you eat slower and really savor your food, leaving you fuller and more satisfied. Of course, watching the carbs and kind of carbs, lean proteins, lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and mimimum sugar all helps alot. I went from 132 to 110 in 3 months. I walk 30 minutes every day, or every other day.

Just finished reading Laugh Lines. Wonderful read!It has brought such joy to my home. I keep it on the kitchen counter and when my children pass by, they grab it and share a new joke with the family. I often hear "Hey Mom... you're going to love this one...or Wow I've got to tell Dad that one." Hello Kathy, I just love the Osmonds and have been a fan for many years. I got the opportunity to meet Wayne when he was in Branson 2004 and I went to the show. I just loved the show got to meet Merrill,Heather and Wayne. Wayne is so funny and I could not stop laughing when he was telling his jokes. Wayne is so kind very sweet. God Bless Danielle Brown

Hi Kathy, I "grew up" with the Osmonds, and they are still my favorite group! Will the Christmas Show that was in Missouri this past December be released on DVD for all to enjoy? I truly hope so for all the Osmond fans would love to include it in their collection. Thank you.
