Shows have been cancelled at Harrah's in Metropolis, IL this weekend, so I can slow down and relax now instead of trying to get caught up on everything I got behind in when we were on the cruise. Maybe I can even start working on the mail that I still haven't gone through yet since we got back from Branson and the Christmas shows. Even better I can unpack for awhile instead of getting ready to leave again. I think I'll start reading the book about Mother Osmond today after I go have the vampire take my blood for my chlorestral test. Greg was a great vampire years ago and really enjoyed the job.
Thanks for your diet and exercise ideas. I was going to go buy a hoola hoop but when I mentioned it to my daughter, Michelle, she said that I can hoola hoop on her Wii Fit so maybe I'll try that first. It sounds like many of you enjoy using Wii Fit to exercise. Joe and Michelle have Wii Fit and I can use it here at the house but at Christmas time when everyone was here visiting the controller came up missing. I remember seeing it on the table and probably decided to put it in a very safe place so the grandkids wouldn't lose or destroy it. I hid it in such a great place that now I can't find it either. I'll spend some time today looking for it and hopefully be able to try it out. Thanks for all your encouraging words. Congratulations to all those who either stayed their same weight or lost some pounds. I'm sorry that Linda was in the hospital and lost weight the hardest way. Hope you are recouperating quickly. I also hope Leslie is feeling better after being sick last week.
If you haven't started your diet yet and still want to join us please do. Even after we get to our ideal weight we'll have to support each other to continue to look like movie stars and actresses. So, if you aren't over weight like I know a couple of you aren't that are on a diet with us, you can just report that you're holding. Ha! If you seriously want to join but are embarrassed like my sister told me she was, just sign up as a follower with a fake name and we'll never know who you are. You can make comments using your fake name, offer suggestions and we can support and cheer each other on. If you still want to use anonymous you could be anonymous 1, anonymous 2, anonymous 3, etc. so we know you are different people. I know I wouldn't try as hard if you didn't know my name or at least a nickname if I wanted to be anonymous.
Those that have reported this week so far are Karen in GA, Klr 105555, Kristy, Shundra, Rebecca, Karen M., Sheila from Toronto, Sherry of IN, cj6116, Linda, Leslie and Franki. It's been fun to know where some of you are living too. Did I miss anyone? Beverly, cj6116 and Emma are my friends on "Lose it" so I can really keep track of them. Invite your friends and family to join us and we'll really help each other to get healthier and stay that way! Congratulations to those that maintained their weight and lost a pound or more. It's O.K. even if you gained weight. Just start again today.

I have been trying to shed about a stone (14lb) for so long. I have fibro and chronic migraine and exercise is really difficult and i dont think i over eat. Anyone else in similar situation? I need to lose this weight. Cholesterol too high. Good luck all.
Glad you have some time to relax and catch up being at home. Hope you can find the controller..I hate doing that. As soon as I give up and buy another, I find the first one.
Eating healthywise.Day 2..and no sweets..and nothing fried. Thats my first two big steps, especially after the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Eating fresh fruit- bananas and strawberries, at least one cup of skim milk a day, adding more veggies.>And riding my exercise bike each day .Thats my program so far. Trying to stick to it. Glad we are all in this together.
Good luck to all and Take Care

HI There,
I would like to join you in this weightloss journey. Is there somewhere to sign up or do we just post here?
Kathy I so enjoy reading your blogs, hopefully I'm going to loose some weight too--we're going on a trip in Aug for our 25th and I want to be lighter! I can so relate to putting things is "safe" places then not remembering where! I've even lost gifts that way lol! only finding them later (usually Christmas LOL) I'll admittingly say I've lost a few lbs over the last day--I weight a couple of days ago at 221 now I'm 217--way too much
Hi Kathy,
I have to say I absolutely love reading your blogs, they're great reading! I admire the way that you are getting involved and are seemingly enjoying everyones contributions, this is so much fun and congratulations on the losing some weight after being on that awesome cruise! Well done!

I was embarrassed to say that I let the cravings of PMS get the better of me last week, but I'll start today. Thanks for the encouragement!
The Wii fit is a great idea. I have a Wii but not a Wii FIT so I didn't know you could hoola hoop on it. That is so cool! I should have asked my FIL for one of those instead of the hoola hoop. HA! Yeah right! Talk to ya'll soon.
Karen Macy (and I'm from Texas)
Thanks for the encouraging words - once I start the exercising I can really get going.
I just got the book Virl wrote on Mother Osmond and I've already read like 20 pages. I loved the photos (I always look at the photos first). To see her growing up - she didn't change in looks at all - still the same features. I highly recommend this book if you want to read about Mother Osmond.
Oh, I tried the hula hoop - guess what - I can't hula anymore - HAH!!!! I tried skipping with our cousin's 7-year old daughter - I gave up after 5 skips. I need help and fast - LOL!!!!
Good encouragment!! P.S. I am in Arizona 1 1/2 hours south of Las Vegas, NV.
Hey, this is klr10555 You can just call me Kathy I'm in NC....I've been wanting a Wii...I can't hula hoop anymore either...guess the body just doesn't have the moves it once did ;-)
There isn't anywhere to sign up, we just report to each other on the blog each week. The thought came to me after I had already started the blog that it might help me and others to get healthy this year. It's worth a try!
I posted my loss on your returning blog...I lost 3 lbs. I was really surprised because my doc has told me that I have a slightly under active thyroid and I know it can be harder to lose weight with that. But she wants me to take another blood test just to confirm that so we'll see.
I'd really love a Wii Fit as I don't do any form of exercise and going to a gym doesn't appeal to me any more. I will get a wii one day but they're quite pricey aren't they and I'm saving for a holiday at the moment. Maybe after that I'll get one.
Love reading your blogs Kathy..:)

Hi Kathy...
What a great idea to support each other.
I sure do enjoy your blog and all the
stories you share. Belonging to a family as
large as the Osmonds must have a wonderful
treasure of stories. Thank you. The Wii idea
is great and I'm going to check it out tomorrow. I have a hula hoop and it's a good way to get your blood pumping and heart
rate working. This is going to be so fun!
Thanks so much....Kathy from San Jose, CA
I want to get a Wii now after hearing you all talk about it. A friend of mine said it really helped her get in shape. Kathy, I really love reading your blogs and hearing about the family, this is such fun!! Thanks for sharing. Franki, and I'm from Waukesha Wisconsin
