If you didn't start reading with us in January that's fine. Start right now. That would be great. If you start on chapter 1 today, then by next Sunday you would be starting on chapter 15. There are many versions of the Bible. Wayne and I are reading the King James Version because we believe, along with many other denominations, that it has been translated the most accurately of all the different versions of the Bible.
After the introduction and Table of Contents, the Bible starts with The First Book of Moses called "Genesis." Under the title of the book you should see Chapter 1 written, which tells about the creation of the world. There are 31 verses in Chapter 1. Chapter 2 includes verses 1-25. If you want to follow the goal we have set you would read all the way through chapter 14 which ends on page 20 of my copy of the bible by next Sunday.
The following week you would start on Chapter 15 and read through Chapter 28 that ends on page 43 of my copy of the bible. If this isn't a realistic goal for you then set a goal that you can obtain. The most important thing is that we try to read a little every day. It's important to relate our reading to our daily lives to make it more relevant. If anyone is interested please come join us.
For those of you who started in January, we should be reading Genesis chapters 43 though 50 and Exodus chapters 1 though 7 this week.
