We left Laughlin, Nevada around 1:30 am this morning. Steve Mason, our drummer, did a terrific job of driving us safely to Las Vegas in a rental van with Gene, Bryan, Scott, Jay, Wayne and I. Wayne and I are sitting here at the gate at McCarran International Airport and it's almost 4:30 am Vegas time. The airplane doesn't leave until 6:30 am so I have some extra time to blog and walk. After taking the rental van back to Dollar, we took a shuttle to the airport and checked in at Allegiant Air. That is everyone except Jay.
Jay is traveling to Springfield on United Airlines for some reason and has a stop in Denver on the way. Our flight is straight without any stops which will be nice. We arrive before noon and have arranged a shuttle to drive us to Branson. By 1:30 pm Wayne and I will probably be in our hotel room taking a long nap before the performance at the Music City Center which begins at 8:00 pm tonight.
Thank you for all your tips on everything from child discipline, sinus remedies and weight loss. After reading everyone's comments I've decided that I need to cut out sugar and fat to have a healthier me and make it permanent. Thank you for all your suggestions. I enjoy reading your comments. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

You, Wayne, Jay and the band have a safe trip back to Branson. Did Jimmy go back to Utah?
Hi Kathy!
Have a safe trip! You need take a nap.
I want to go back to Branson again.
I miss you!!
Your post is say right but I think If people are on family vacation or just needing one to haul around equipment, there's a van for that at van rental san francisco. They can also pick you up from the airport if you desire.
That is such a hectic traveling schedule, don't know how Wayne has the energy to perform on stage at 8 pm tonight..God bless him. I didn't do well on the diet this week...always give in to my sweet tooth when there's celebrations going on. However, I did buy turkey hot dogs which is less fat so there is hope for me...LOL! Enjoy your time in Branson before you have to travel again.
Seems like a long day for everyone. That good your all taking a nap.
Have fun in Branson
Hi Kathy,
You previously spoke about different stages in our lives. I know Jay has sent his book to the publisher and he titled it The Stages of My Life. A double meaning there. I was wondering if you could talk to Jay about his book and give us a little info on how he feels about how it turned out. Was it emotional writing it, things like that. Just any thoughts he might want to share with us. I am writing a biography for a friend of mine who I think has had an interesting life. It is my first attempt at a book. It can be real challenging to interview someone about their whole life in order to write their biography. But, my friend is excited and committed to it and wants to share her life experiences in a book. Hope that it will get published when completed but, if not it is still a wonderful experience and a special gift to my friend and her family.

Okay, I'm yawning thinking about your schedule today - did you even sleep before getting up at 1:30 a.m. - Yikes!!!!
Get some rest and I hope the flight goes well and is on time so you can both sleep before the show.
Today, I mowed the lawn and went for a bike ride. The lawn mower quit on me once - I had to take a break for some ice cold water as it was already 85 degrees by 9 a.m. I SHOVED the lawn mower back into the garage as I couldn't get it started, calmed down, cooled off in the air conditioned house and then went back out and tah-dah - the lawn mower started on 1st try. Glad I got it done.
Will Jay get lost in Denver tis the question? HA
Sleep is so important for a person's health. Just read some of my posts, typos and words left out when I have not had enough sleep. I hope that you and Wayne get caught up on it.
It's a shame they didn't get a day of rest in there somewhere, they have been going non-stop since before they started Branson & with crazy, scary flights to boot! Whew! Am looking forward to seeing the show Tue & Wed but feel badly cos I know they are all exhausted then add UK to that. You all need prayers & please do make sure you all eat right but rest is the most important now, that is where energy comes from not food.
Would love to meet you Kathy, I'll be with Connie from Branson if you want to look us up! Tell Wayne it's 'Julie Julie do ya love me' from Independence! Ha! I always get that song from him when I see him! Bless him. He is a sweet man.
I'd love to talk health stuff with you anytime!

Hope you will stay in Branson long enough for you to catch up on your sleep. At our age we are just too old for staying up all night!!! Hope Wayne got rested enough for the show.
I'll have to ask Jay about his book now that he's finished it. It seems like he has been working on it for a very long time.
Jimmy drove back to Utah last night after the show with his two sons and Jason. Hope they made it back safely.
" I've decided that I need to cut out sugar and fat to have a healthier me and make it permanent".
I so wish this statement was as easy to implement as it is to write!
