Wayne's a mother!

Before the end of Sacrament Meeting today the bishop announced for everyone to stay in their seats a little longer after the meeting because the young men had a little gift for every adult woman 18 years and older. I don't know if Wayne couldn't hear him or if he forgot but when it was time to give out the gifts Wayne was the first one up and standing. I pulled on his slacks to get him to sit down. He looked around to notice that he was the only male standing and probably the only person standing in the area we were sitting.

After he sat back down he explained to me that he was a mother too because he helped me sometimes. There were snickers and smiles coming from almost a whole room full of people that were sitting behind us. Maybe Wayne sensed that there was candy in the little boxes because on the drive home Mary gave Wayne her Mother's Day box. You know how much Wayne loves chocolate so he really enjoyed his little Mother's Day gift.

I loved all the attention from my children today! It was fun to hear from them and have them wish me "Happy Mother's Day." What is better than hearing your children express how much they love you? I am also blessed to be able to wish my own mother "Happy Mother's Day" even though I wished I could have shared the day with her. Of course we couldn't tell Mother Osmond "Happy Mother's Day" but I'll always think about her on Mother's Day and believe that it is more than coincidence that she passed away on this special day.

Sounds like a nice day at the Sacrament meeting. Glad Wayne enjoyed Mary's chocolates.

So glad you enjoyed your kids too.

I had a great day as well. Tim made me breakfast in bed, and more food than I could ever eat.

I got to see what Eric bought me. He got me a CD of the Bible, 2 Reese's Peanutbutter Cups and a Mothers Day balloon he proudly hid from me in his closet.

I had the best time with my husband and son. We just hung out together all day and took it easy. Tim brought home Pralines and Cream Ice Cream from Bask and Robbins...I may not want to weigh myself in the morning.

Happy Mother's Day Wayne and Kathy! Glad Mary shared her box of chocolates with Wayne!
I had a wonderful Mother's Day with my family and parents in laws who are in town visiting us. My husband and children surprised me with a new Aloha dress, so I excitedly zipped out of my Sunday dress and wore new Aloha dress to church. Mother in law and I received beautiful floral leis to wear to church. My husband cooked turkey with all the fun thanksgiving like foods for dinner. It was a wonderful Mother's Day!

It nice from you to think of Mother Osmond of this special day because she was such a wonderful mom.
We must enjoy every moment spent with our parents because when they are gone we miss them so much.

You are married to one funny guy!!

Happy 'belated' Mother's Day! I'm glad you had a good one! After church my family took me to O'Charley's for lunch. I really enjoyed the time spent with them! I only have two children a son 24 and daughter 22...but sometimes just keeping up with them and their activities, school schedules and mine and husbands work schedule it can be a challenge!

My daughter and I baked chocolate chip cookies last night which we haven't done in forever! ~We HAD to buy the mix from the little kids selling it for their school fundraiser...it would have been VERY wrong NOT to buy from the little kids you know!! LOL.... ANY excuse to bake cookies we try to take full advantage of!

Cute!!!! We had the ame senario play out in our ward yesterday. But because I have gone off chocolate I gave the chocolates to my daughter who enjoyed them with my grandson. We had some great speakers who bought tears to my eyes and after sacrement I needed to express to one dear sister who is single and hss never been a mother; how much I admired her and what a joy it is to come to church and see her.
Happy Mothers Day to you Kathy!!

I laughed out loud and Paul goes what's so funny - I read him your story. I can just imagine Paul doing something like this also. Really cute Wayne......

Glad to read you enjoyed your Mother's Day. We did also with my mom, my sister and her husband. A nice cookout of ribs and chicken. We toasted my brother-in-law's mom and Paul's mom (who we just lost this past November) and remembered them with love.

You better sit by us Connie so you don't miss out on any of the funnies. I can't imagine how long that it took them to put all those gifts together. My first thought was how would you even guess how many gift boxes that you'd need with all the Branson visitors?

I am convinced your husband is crazy but in a lovable way Ha! For mother's day my kids let me sleep till 4(I work 3rd shift) They got me Marie's set of 3 tiny tot dolls.Patrick(14) and Paul(10) told me there is one from each of them. The third is from my 1st son.He passed away 17 yrs ago at age 2 months from SIDS. It's nice to know that his brothers remember him even though they never met him. After we went to Mass the boys made me dinner.Sliced turkey heated in gravy with french fries and corn.I guess it's their version of thanksgiving dinner ha.Glad you had a great day .Wish Suzanne a happy birthday for me
