"Wonky's Book Worms"

Is anyone out there still reading the Old Testament with Wayne and me? If I can get Wayne off of Tetris we'll be caught up tonight. Next week we're reading I Kings Chapters 8-22.  We'll be starting II Kings the following week if I don't get a chance to blog when I'm in England.

We are now caught up on our reading. Yea! Wouldn't you love the gift that the Lord gave King Solomon? I remember even as a little girl how impressed I was with the story of how King Solomon decided which mother the living baby belonged to.

Kathy, next time you're changing the blog, could you change the date? It is very difficult to see, let alone read.

Thanks so much for this blog! I just LOVE reading it! You are a very good writer. You feel like a good friend. It feels like I should be over sometime soon for a good chat, like we always did!

The first blog I started reading was Joy's blog "The Osmonds Greatest Hits". I went back to the beginning of the blog and just started reading. I marveled that I was reading about this family and by the time I ended, felt like a good friend! And yet, she didn't even know I existed! That just blew me away! There was way too much to read, but I looked at the pictures and read here and there and I'm still reading! Isn't that something? It's quite a marvel! Like reading people's journals, isn't it?

Now I'm reading about 25 blogs!! Thank goodness they are not all very active . . . I'd never get anything done!

Anyway, thanks for sharing your little part of the world with us.

Yes! I'm still reading as well. Yes, Solomon must of been a good man to ask for wisdom instead of other things.
That story always impressed me too. Especially the reaction of the "other" mother. She just didn't care!!! The real mom was willing to give her child to THAT woman, as long as the child lived.
Glad ou guys are caught up, it is hard getting behind - especially in the Old Testament. Have fun in England and we will keep reading as well!!!

Hi Kathy,
Yes, I still want to read along with you. I'm a bit behind. My stepmom is having surgery for colon cancer on June 25th, so I've been a bit preoccupied. I will catch up as soon as I can. Please keep posting when you have time. Love your blog!
Hugs to you and Wayne,
Wendy : D

THis reading made me think of my Nana as I remember her reading the story of Solomon and the two mothers to me as a little girl. I always thought she had the wisdom of Solomon. She was a very special lady.
