John Ascuaga's Nugget in Reno

When we left the Salt Lake City airport this afternoon it was snowing, but when we stepped off of the plane in Reno, Nevada a little over an hour later the sun was shining brightly. As we walked toward the baggage pick-up, we saw a guy with a sign that said, "Wayne Osmond." He was a nice young man from the Nugget that was there to pick us up.

He said that he'd be right back. Before we had gathered our luggage and headed toward the glass doors to exit he came and helped us into the limosine. John Ascuaga's Nugget has their own white limo with their name on it. We got in the limo and it was a little empty with just the two of us.

After Wayne checked us in at the hotel, we looked around and decided the hotel was probably decorated by a Winter personality. Have you been color coded and told what season your coloring fits and what colors you are supposed to look the best in? Wayne and I are both Winters and the hotel has a lot of burgundy, pink, forest green, navy blue, black and grey. All my favorite colors. I'll post some more photos later.

I signed up for the Internet tonight so now I won't get bored and will thoroughly enjoy this trip.

"Might As Well Laugh About It Now"

My neighbor, who just happens to be Joe's grandma, and I did a book trade. She hadn't read Virl's book about Mother Osmond and I hadn't read Marie's new book. The Nielsens served a mission with George and Olive Osmond in Hawaii and were really good friends with them. My daughter, Michelle, married their grandson, Joe. Michelle remembers seeing a cute blond-haired guy next door cutting the Nielsen's lawn. Little did she know that he'd be her husband years later.

On the drive home from Vegas I read Marie's book and thoroughly enjoyed it! Wayne was driving and was a bit bugged in the beginning of the trip that I had my nose in the book, but soon got used to it. Marie is one amazing woman! I always knew that but this book just reconfirmed my opinion. Until reading the book I never realized how much she is like her mother - busy, busy, busy. My daughter, Amy, reminds me of both of them. It's all in the genes I guess!

The highlight of our trip to Vegas was Sunday evening, which we spent at Marie's beautiful home. She invited all her family that was in Vegas over to dinner with a couple of other friends, because I guess she didn't have enough to do that day. Ha! We all commented on what a long time it had been since we all had just sat around a table together, relaxed and enjoyed each other's company. It seems like we're always in a rush heading in different directions.

Marie played Jay, Wayne and I selections from her new CD that is coming out soon. Marie has such a beautiful voice! I always knew that she could sing since her first hit record "Paper Roses," but now she can REALLY seriously sing. You already know that if you've attended her show in Vegas. She is an incredible talent as well as an awesome sister! Thanks Marie for sharing your evening with us!

Old and New Friends

It amazes me how friends from all over the world were in Vegas to see the shows. There were friends from Tokyo, Mexico City, the island of Malta to many other friends that are living all across the United States.

The couple below met their new friend (pictured on the right) that was in Vegas by herself, sitting at the same table they were sitting during a show at the Suncoast and invited her to ride over to the Flamingo with them in their limosine after the show. That's what I love best about all of you - you're all such wonderful, nice people! Thanks for supporting The Osmonds for over 50 years.

"The Wii Fitters" Report

I accomplished my goal of exercising 30 minutes a day, five times this week. When Noah was taking a nap or spending time with his other set of grandparents I worked in the exercise without missing play time with him. He is the only grandchild on his father's side but they live pretty close to us so we share and take turns. I really miss his cute little personality. I have so much fun playing with him that I'm already looking forward to May when I'll see him next. Don't you love his shirt? It says, "If I don't sleep - nobody sleeps." Isn't that the truth!

"An Apple a Day Bunch" March 22 - 28th

It was fun to meet one of the members of "An Apple a Day Bunch" in Vegas. I got a photo of Sandra from Georgia and I together at the Suncoast. I think I lost a pound. It's hard to tell for sure with my travel scales. Tomorrow's a new day so let's get started again for the week.

"Wonky's Book Worms" March 19th through March 25th

Wayne's profound comment when we started reading the book of Numbers was, "I know why the book is called Numbers now." Hah! We're still working on finishing Numbers Chapter 1 through Chapter 14. We'll try and finish by tomorrow night. We'd love to read your comments. Our reading for next week is Numbers, Chapters 15 through 24.

The Suncoast

Look at this hall. This is where I did my 35 minutes of walking today, right outside our room. I had to make sure that I got in my 5 days of exercise. I saw everyone while I was walking back and forth from one end of the hall to the other except Jimmy, so we must all be staying on the same floor.

After going with Wayne to sound check, we ate at the buffet here in the hotel. I filled my plate with lettuce then added tomatoes, beans, cottage cheese, cucumbers, turkey, a baked potato and fruit. Until Wayne brought me a piece of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, I thought I was doing really well controlling myself. After some coaxing, I finally tried the cake. It was a little stale from sitting out, but the frosting was out of this world. I'm pretty sure it wasn't that great - it's just that I haven't tasted anything like it since December.

In case you haven't been to Vegas I took this photo from inside our hotel room. The weather here is beautiful at this time of year. If you look closely you can see people that are at the pool. I took these photos with my IPhone camera so they aren't that great, but it gives you an idea.

We're Here in Vegas!

We just arrived at the Suncoast Hotel in Las Vegas. It feels good to be here. We arrived safely which is always a relief with crazy Wayne at the wheel.

We were getting ready to leave early this afternoon and discovered that the four new keys that Wayne had made for the car yesterday wouldn't turn on the ignition. Wayne's set of keys have been missing for the past 4-6 weeks so he has been using my set of keys. My car key was being held together with a piece of gaffers tape so I was really happy that he had the new keys made. The guy at the GMC dealership had opened the locked door of the car so they assumed that all the keys would start the car too.

Last night he gave me back my set of keys with a new key for the car and had thrown the original key away. Because he couldn't get one of the four keys to start the car, he started going through the garbage without any success. I decided to go through the pockets of all his clothes because that's where he usually puts his keys. Sure enough, guess what I found? Wayne's set of keys in a pocket of one of his slacks.

After looking all around the house for him I called him on his cell and he had worked on one of the new keys to get the ignition started and was down filling up the car with gas. When he returned from doing a few errands we loaded the car and were off. We drove straight to St. George where we stopped to fill the gas tank again. Wayne couldn't get the new key to start the car again but I passed over his keys that were in my handbag and off we went.

It was a sunny, beautiful drive most of the way to Vegas with a little rain, snow and hail along the way. We made it safely in plenty of time. The first show isn't until tomorrow night.

What do you think about this article submitted by Ann? Thank you Ann!

Eating Fruit - This opened my eyes.
Dr Stephen Mak is a friend of mine at the BSF course. He told me he treats terminal ill cancer patients by using "un-orthodox" ways and many patients have recovered. He believes in the natural healing ability of the body against illnesses. See the article below.

Thanks for the email on fruits and juices. It is one of the strategies to heal cancer. As of late, my success rate in curing cancer is about 80%. Cancer patients shouldn't die. The cure for cancer is already found. It is whether you believe it or not? I am sorry for the hundreds of cancer patients who die under the conventional treatments.. Very few can live for 5 years under the conventional treatments and most live for only about 2 to 3 years. The conventional treatments do not make any difference because most cancer patients also live for about 2 to 3 years without undergoing any treatment. It is difficult to cure those cancer patients who have undergone chemo and radiotherapy as their cells are toxic and weak. When there is a relapse, the cancer will spread very fast as the resistance is poor.
Thanks and God bless.
Dr Stephen Mak

EATING FRUIT...

It's long but very informative

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil....

So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc, Actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!

KIWI: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.

APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.

STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.

ORANGE : Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are also a key source of lycopene, the cancer fighting oxidant. Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.

Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer! Can u believe this?? For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal. A serious note about heart attacks HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE': (THIS IS NOT A JOKE!) Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

"Behind the Mask" Exhibition

Yesterday Wayne and I went shopping to find some of the things that helped him recover from his brain cancer, surgery and radiation. Last night Sarah, Michelle and I helped him decorate a radiotherapy mask and shield with all the items. He just left to go mail our creative collage to the "Brain Tumour Buddies" in the UK. The mask will be displayed with other decorated masks in various cities in the UK before an auction is held. The proceeds will go to providing various support services for patients, their families and caretakers. The mask will be displayed along with a picture of Wayne and his explanation of why he decorated it the way he did.

The outpouring of concern and love when I was in the hospital really gave me encouragement and strength. Many friends and family sent flowers, gifts and cards. Every day I was in the hospital Marie sent me a balloon with a joke attached to it. I also received many visits and phone calls from family and friends - many old and new friends. I received so much support and love from all over the world.

After leaving the hospital, the only foods that I wanted and could eat for quite awhile were canned peaches, butter cookies, chocolate and Mountain Dew. Jimmy came out to Duke to stay with me while I was finishing up my radiation treatments because Kathy needed to return to Utah to get our children back in school. Jimmy bought us toys to play with and he sat in the room with me for a week while we played with Nerf shooters.

Going back to Branson to perform with my brothers helped me heal quickly and helped take my mind off of how I felt. I continue to keep my mind active by doing cross word puzzles and playing Scrabble. I've enjoyed playing Scrabble on Facebook with friends recently and usually pick up a newspaper when I travel to do a crossword puzzle and other word games. While waiting for the shows to begin in Branson, I'll set up a jig saw puzzle and work on it when I have a few minutes.

I'd like to thank everyone for all your concern, love and prayers. My doctors, medical staff, family, friends and faith in God helped give me the strength, courage and hope to endure. I have now been cancer free for almost 15 years. Because I learned so much, I can now say that I am thankful for having this experience. My compassion for others, appreciation for medical technology and professional expertise, and my appreciation for family, friends and life has really increased. I love life and appreciate every day!

Enjoying Home

Adam has been giving me lessons on how to use my MacBook. It's so cool I can't believe that it has taken me this long to switch from a PC. I have my favorite websites all on one page and just switch back and forth right where I left off. I can close the computer to take a break and then open it up again later to continue. It's so easy to get online. So fun!!!

Wayne is watching penguins on his favorite channel - Discovery, under his electric lap blanket. He loves to watch all the animal shows. He likes me to sit and watch TV with him so I'm glad that I have a computer to play with while he is in awe of the animals

"The Wii Fitters"

This week I exercised 5 times for at least 30 minutes plus did a lot of housework to get ready for the family to visit. The Wii is getting easier because I have caught on to some of the exercises. I think it is helping my posture, strength and balance. How is everyone else doing with their fitness?

"An Apple a Day Bunch" Weigh In

I think I lost 2 pounds this week. I'm using these travel scales which aren't very accurate but at least I can weigh in when I'm not at home. I haven't been sitting in front of the computer as much this week which I guess has helped. I've been playing with my grandson, Noah and he's a busy boy. We're watching his favorite movie right now which is "Peter Pan." He's not even 2 years old yet, but loves the movie. He just moved back when the Captain Hook came into the picture. I think he's a little scared of him.

"Wonky's Book Worms" Report For January 25 - 31, 2010

Hope you have all caught up on our reading. We will be reading Numbers Chapters 1-14 this week. Let us know if you're still reading with us. If you haven't caught up to Numbers or you haven't been reading with us, you can start with us tomorrow on Numbers. Hope to hear from everyone!

It's been a busy week!

Wayne and Steve arrived home from their long drive from Richmond late Tuesday night. They were really tired. Steve needed to be in Provo early on Wednesday morning to meet with a team that is trying to help him get everything set up to open an endondontic practice. Steve still has a long list that he needs to work on which will probably take weeks.

It has been such a fun and busy week. Sarah, Adam and Noah arrived on Wednesday morning for a week while Adam is on Spring break from Northwestern. I've loved playing with Noah. We have played with cars, trains, blocks, bugs, tools, discovered play-doh, and everything else. He's such a cutie - so smart and verbal.

A couple of days ago I received an email from a distant cousin that has been working on a dead end in our Worden family history. She found a Samuel Montross family on the Internet that was copied from an old Bible. This is the clue we need to complete a missing link in our Worden/Montross family that we've all been working on for so long.

Yesterday I went to the LDS Family History Library that is located across from Temple Square in Salt Lake City and spent most of the day. There is a big book with all the Montross family in America listed that was written in 1928. I think I found where this Samuel Montross family fits. This discovery opens up many more research possibilities that we can follow up on. It's so exciting I could hardly sleep last night thinking about it.

I've also been helping Shundra discover her family and wondering if the contacts that we found on ancestry.com have emailed her yet and if they are definitely her distant cousins. Have you learned anything more Shundra about your family?

I'm so excited to open my birthday present tonight! I know it's a little early, but Adam, Wayne and I went to the Apple store this afternoon and Wayne bought me an Apple laptop. How perfect - an apple computer to add posts to my "One Bad Apple Dish Blog." I just thought of this - that isn't why I wanted one. Ha! Adam's been using Apple computers his whole life and convinced me that I'd love the Apple too. Adam, Sarah and Noah are at a barbecue with their friends right now. I'm waiting for Adam to come back so he can help me set up my new computer and sync it with my IPhone.

It's almost time to weigh in again for the week. I will admit that I totally binged out on a box of Wheat Thins one night but other than that I've been pretty good at following my diet. How's everyone else doing?

The Green Diet

Have you heard about "The Green Diet?" If you go to mygreendiet.com you'll find tips, delicious healthy recipes, testimonials, etc. It's not just about losing weight but a way to a healthy mind and body. Mary's mom's cholestrol dropped dramatically when she started following it and didn't have to go on medication. Check it out and see what you think.

The "Wii Fitters" (March 8-14)

Having not used the Wii Fit for 2 weeks, I could really tell that I had regressed. It took a few days to get back to where I was before. The exercises are now getting easier because I worked using the Wii Fit 6 times this week for about 35 minutes. I like the variety of different exercises and do about 3 or 4 in each group during the 35 minutes. My core muscles are getting stronger which has helped the pains and aches that I was having in my hip joints. I'm sure the weight loss has also helped. What type of exercise works the best for you?

"An Apple a Day Bunch" (March 8 -15)

I lost a pound this week so being committed last week paid off. Here's an example of what I ate one day this week. I usually eat a lot of small meals or snacks instead of 3 large meals a day. It seems to keep me from getting hungry. My goal each day is to stay under 1200 calories.

1. large banana, 135 calories
2. Activia lowfat yogurt (2 servings), 220 calories
3. apple, 116 calories
4. 3 medium carrots, 75 calories
5. 1 cup of low fat cottage cheese (2 servings), 180 calories
6. 20 almonds, 138 calories
7. A bag of Asian Style Medley Green Giant Steamers (the whole bag is 3 servings), 150 calories
8. 12 fat free crackers, 144 calories

Total calories for Wednesday was 1,158 plus I had 2 cups of sugar free jello for a total of 1,178 calories.

Whenever I want something sweet or I am hungry, I eat a cup of sugar free jello that is 10 calories a cup.

I also drink a lot of water because sometimes I think that I'm hungry and I'm really thirsty. I substitute plain wheat, multi-grained, white bread or 1-2 cups of multi-grain Cherrios with 1/2 cup of milk, etc. instead of the crackers. There are a variety of Steamers and I have a different kind for dinner every day. I also like the steamers that have rice and pasta with the vegetables. I'll substitite different fruits and vegetables for the ones listed above. I also will drink a cup of milk instead of 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, etc. Basically every thing I eat is very plain and simple with little or no preparation.

Since I travel a lot I usually substitute a salad instead of the bag of frozen vegetables and will have chicken on the salad instead of nuts. I've also started carrying a few lowfat cereal bars and/or diet bars in my suitcase and bottled water for emergencies since Wayne can go all day on one meal. When he carries his bag of M&M's with him I'll eat a slimfast dessert bar instead. I think one kind tastes better than a Butterfinger.

When we eat dinner at a restaurant I try to eat the heart healthy meals but it's difficult to keep under 1200 calories a day when I am traveling. The thing that works the best for me is keeping track of everything I eat whether I write it down or keep track using my Iphone. As soon as I quit keeping track of my calories, I gain back everything that I've lost. I'll decide not to eat something just because I don't want to take the time to figure out how many calories is in it and/or take the time to record it.

Knowing that I am reporting to you each week has also been a great incentive for watching my calorie intake. I don't gain weight and usually lose weight if I make sure I don't eat over 1200 calories a day and that's even when I don't exercise. What works best for you?

I love to read your comments!

Thank you for sharing your ideas and comments on the blog. I've really enjoyed reading them. It sounds like some of you are struggling with health issues. I've got an article that I saved from years ago that I'd like to share with you. Now, if I can only find it. I'll post it on Wayne's website. It has a very comforting message.

Someone that took some really great photos of the concerts in Tampa at Busche Gardens agreed that I could post her photos on Wayne's website. Since then a friend helped me sync all my email accounts and calendars together and I've lost or can't find her email. I'm hoping that she is reading this blog or maybe someone that is reading the blog can tell me where to find the photos on her facebook page.

I dropped Wayne off at the airport this morning and he's off to Marietta, Georgia for the show tomorrow. He was a little disappointed that I didn't travel with him this trip but he will be in Richmond on Sunday having fun visiting Steve and his family. He's helping Steve drive back his car and a U-haul to Utah.

After our last trip home from California I hope Steve does most of the driving! I had forgotten all about the toll roads until EricsmomTimsgal mentioned it again. Now I'm thinking that I probably should have taken my regular back seat driving position and driven with them. Ha!

My daughter Sarah, Adam and Noah are visiting for a week after Adam get's finished taking his finals so I'm planning on picking them up at the airport next week. I don't think that Wayne and Steve will be here in Utah yet until after I pick them up at the airport.

I'm really excited to see them all and hoping that Adam, Sarah and Noah move back to Utah after Adam is finished with his school. Steve and Anneli said that they were never going to live in Utah and Idaho so I'm still holding my breath and probably won't believe it until they are all actually here living in Utah permanently.

"Wonky's Book Worms" starting the book of Numbers on March 21st.

Wayne and I just finished reading Leviticus today. Wayne is leaving for Marietta, Georgia tomorrow morning and then flying to Richmond, VA on Sunday to help drive Steve's car and a U-haul back to Utah. I'm not sure how long the trip will take so we decided to read ahead. Do you think we could all be finished with Leviticus by March 20th so we can begin Numbers together on Sunday, March 21st? Leviticus was very interesting with all the various types of ceremonial offerings, feasts and commandments that were given by God to help each individual stay in communion with Him and help them remember what He had done for them. The children of Israel must have been so ingrained with idol worship in Egypt that when Moses was on Mount Sinai they forgot very quickly the God that had delivered them out of bondage and started worshipping a golden calf. The ten commandments were then written by God and given to Moses for the children of Israel to obey. What a better world it would be today if everyone obeyed the 10 commandments. It really should start with me. Am I making sure that I am always trying to obey the ten commandments?

Thanks for supporting us!

It was a wonderful blessing to have the sun shinning so brightly yesterday. I thought the press really respected the family. The press was only supposed to talk to Jimmy and Stephen for comments which they did. I don't know what I can add to what was reported in the media. I loved this photo that brother Tom took with his cell phone at the cemetery and emailed to Wayne last night. I am so thankful for a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson (pictured above), who shared words of comfort, hope and peace with all of us. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives us the stength we need during times of sorrow and trials. We'd like to thank everyone for their support, love and prayers. Being surrounded with family and friends is such a great blessing! Please continue to keep Marie and her children in your prayers.

The "Wii Fitters" Report here for the week of March 2nd through March 9th

I hate to report that I didn't complete my exercise goals this week but I'm starting on Tuesday again and I'm going to keep my goal for sure this week!!! Hope everyone is hanging in there. Shundra, EricsmomTimsgal and momrock receive the top awards for last week. Has everyone else given up all ready? It's only March.

"An Apple a Day Bunch" report here for the week of March 1st through March 7th

I stayed the same this week which was a big relief. I thought that I probably gained weight this week since I've been eating out almost every day.

"Wonky's Book Worms" Report Here!

Where should we be starting on Monday? Wayne and I are still behind in the reading. We're going to catch up for sure this week. One thing that really impressed me in our reading this week was how important it is to keep the Sabbath Day holy. The penalty for the children of Israel was death. Since the Lord rested on the seventh day of the creation of the world then I should be able to rest on Sunday and keep the Sabbath Day holy. One guideline I try to follow is to make sure that everything I do on Sunday is bringing me closer to the Lord. I'll admit that I need to do a lot better.

We're in Tampa, Florida

We arrived in Tampa, Florida safely today. The Osmond Brothers are performing at Busche Gardens the next 4 days, 3 times each day. We are going to be heading back to Utah a little sooner than planned for Michael's funeral on Monday. It's been a really difficult weekend with such a mix of emotions.

On Sunday our son, Greg, blessed their sweet baby girl, Adelaide Elizabeth Osmond, in Kaylynn's parents' home ward. We were blessed to have Kaylynn's dad, Joseph Fielding McConkie, share his testimony of the Gospel and teach us from the scriptures about God's plan of salvation. It was a special spiritual experience that we shared together as a family. I'd like to express my thanks to the McConkie family for opening their home to us, their kindness and thoughtfulness that helped comfort us during this difficult time.

I'm going to share more family photos on Wayne's Photo Gallery under FAMILY which registered friends can view.

Thank you for all your notes, messages, emails, thoughts and prayers.

I just want to thank everyone for the outpouring love that has been shown at this tragic time. It really does mean a lot to know that you are all praying for Marie and her family. I don't feel like commenting right now on the situation but it is really reassuring to know that there are so many wonderful friends and families supporting the Osmond family.

It's times like this that we really appreciate our family and friends. It forces us to ponder on what really is important in life. I'm so thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the comfort that this knowledge gives me. My heart and prayers go out to Marie and her family. I'm sure I can't even start to relate to the grief and sadness that they are experiencing now, even though I am also feeling a loss and sadness like many of you. I do know that they will be able to pull through because of their faith, strength and the knowledge they have of the Lord's plan of salvation.

Wayne and I are leaving for Tampa, Florida very early in the morning so I really need to go get packed and get many other things done before we leave. I just want to thank you again for all your support and prayers at this difficult time.

"The Wii Fitters"

I also haven't made my goal for the week. If I included house work I probably did but my goal was 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes not including house work. I hope everyone did better than I did.

"An Apple a Day Bunch" Report here

I lost a pound this week which surprises me because I haven't been staying on my diet that well this week. How is everyone else doing?

"Wonky's Book Worms" Report here

I'm afraid with everything that has been going on this past week Wayne and I are behind in our reading. Does anyone know exactly where we should be starting today so we can catch up? I've lost track.
