Book Signing on Saturday at the Grand Village Shops

In Branson, Missouri this Saturday, October 2, 2010, Wayne and Jay will be signing their books in the courtyard by T. Charleston's Books and Gifts (next to Thomas Kincade Signature Art Gallery) at 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm.

The Grand Village Shops are next to The Grand Palace Theater at 2800 West Highway 76. There are a lot of cute, unique shops that you will also want to visit and you won't see anywhere else in Branson. Kringles Christmas store, Alice in Toyland and 24 other specialty shops and restaurants will be an exciting, interesting shopping adventure. 

Everyone is welcome to stop by to meet and visit Wayne and Jay, to purchase their books at the bookstore and have them sign their books - "Laugh Lines" and "Stages." If weather won't permit an outside event then it will be moved to the inside of the book store.

"The Wii Fitters"

How is your exercise coming? Well, I gave up after Thursday and totally rebelled. I decided not to do a thing. Oh, Oh! Today I'm starting up again with the calorie counting and exercise. Better go do the Wii Fit before Wayne gets back from the show and wants to watch his favorite shows on TV.

"An Apple A Day Bunch"

Thursday I totally blew it and I haven't kept track of my calories since. O.K. I'm starting again today. I'm not going to get on the scales until next week so hopefully I'll be back on track by then. How did everyone else do this week?

"Wonky's Book Worms"

The Lord loves the righteous and will try them. The righteous are those that love the Lord's law and pray day and night. God is always in the righteous person's thoughts. The righteous put their trust in the Lord and in his mercy. The righteous understand and seek God. Those that trust in the Lord will rejoice and shout for joy, sing praise to the name of the Lord. The righteous will give thanks to the Lord.  The righteous will remember the creations that the Lord created and how he created man to have dominion over his works. The righteous will declare the Lord's doings.

The righteous Lord loves righteousness, his countenance doth behold the upright. His words are pure words. The Lord will answer the prayer of the righteous. The Lord will bless the righteous and protect them. He will hear and not forget the cry of the humble. The Lord will be a refuge for the oppressed in times of trouble. The Lord will reach out to the fatherless and the oppressed. The Lord will not forsake those that seek him. The Lord will save the upright in heart.

I extracted some of the qualities of the righteous that were found in the reading and the promises made to those that are righteous.  In my daily life I need to strive to acquire the attributes of the righteous in order to live with the righteous and the Lord after this probationary period on earth.

Our reading next week is Psalm chapters 15 - 29.

Saturday Night Show Cancelled

Last night I attended the show at the theater and didn't even know that Jay had been in a fender-bender. He stopped at a stop light and the person behind him pushed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake. He did have his seat belt on, and of course the show must go on! Maybe he can get some much needed rest this weekend.

Fun to meet Karen and Dianna from England last night and visit with Cindy and Sherry. 

Happy Birthday to Kaylynn! 

She is 4 days younger than Sarah. 

 I hope she didn't have to make her own birthday cake again this year unless she wanted to, but not too sure about Greg's culinary arts talent?

Someone sent this sketch to Wayne which we all really enjoy. It's amazing how much it looks like him! That's really a wonderful talent and we would like to give whoever the artist is credit. If I remember correctly, I messaged them back on Facebook to ask if I could add the drawing to Wayne's website and she gave me permission which I did, but I must have accidentally deleted her message. Now we don't know who to recognize for their artistic talent. I also posted this sketch on Facebook hoping that the artist would see it but still haven't had any success.
