Christmas with Debbie R.

Debbie R.'s favourite pictures from her Christmas for you to see --

My mom feeding her first great grandson a bottle on Christmas Eve.  Liam was born June 17 and is teething -- very cranky Christmas Eve!!  Not much calmed him down!  Liam is my niece Amanda's son and he is my first great nephew.

Our dog Lacey -- she's a year and a half now and loves it when our daughter Jenn comes home.  When I tell her Jenn's coming home she leans up on my cabinet and watches out the window til the car drives up.  Jenn lives in Hamilton, Ontario which is about an hour away from Woodstock where we live.  She and her finace, Steve had spent Christmas Eve with his family in Port Elgin which is about 2 hours away.  They drove home Christmas morning to have Christmas with us.  Lacey had a LOT of energy as a puppy so whenever they came to visit, Steve would always take her out and play ball with her to tire her out a bit (it never lasted long!).  She's never forgot and always gets her ball and runs to the door when Steve walks in the house!

My son Scott is 25 and still lives at home with us.  Scott is surprised by something -- he hates his picture being taken so it's hard to get a good shot of him.

Jenn and Steve by our tree.  You can't see in the picture but we bought each of our children a unique tree ornament every year since they were born.  Our thoughts were that they would take the ornaments with them when they grew up and had their own trees but Jenn decided that her ornaments belong at home......our tree is pretty crowded with decorations -- but they all have a special story behind them.  As we decorate our tree together every year we retell so many of those stories - special memories for all of us.

Jenn, Steve and I ..... they're getting married June 10.  It's been so exciting planning things with them!  She and I went shopping yesterday and ordered my dress for the wedding.

One of my mom's dogs (Abby) hidden among the presents at her place.

Liam playing with his favourite present -- ribbons!!

Your family is beautiful Debbie! We didn't even manage to gather together for a group picture this Christmas!
I love the idea of the special ornaments. I regret not doing that with my daughters so I make sure every year I buy one for my grandson and date it.
Enjoyed your photos!
