Wayne and I don't remember ever arriving at an airport after a flight 1/2 hour early? We flew out of Springfield yesterday morning to Chicago and then to Salt Lake City. We surprised Michelle, who picked us up, with our early arrival. Can anyone beat that record?
Early this morning the cousins met at our house to play. Grandma missed them all. What wonderful memories we made playing together.

How fun!!! No I have never heard of getting in early on a flight!! Must of been kind of nice to come home for the weekend to see everyone!! I love seeing pictures of all the grandkids - they must love coming to Grandma and Grandpas house!!!

Don't think I ever heard of anyone getting in early on a flight either. Maybe it is making up for the times you have been delayed for hours at a time.
Isn't it crazy to have to fly to Chicago from Springfield then on to Utah. One would think you could fly from Springfield to Utah.
I haven't ever been in the airport in Chicago but I have heard it is huge.
You and Wayne have the most beautiful grandchildren. You are both so blessed to have them.
By the way what has happened to Google Plus? I have not received anything lately.

Dot, most airlines operate a hub and spoke system. For example, Chicago O'Hare, Atlanta Hartsfield and Dallas/Fort Worth are some of the hubs. Large numbers of flights, and planes of all sizes, fly in and out of these. The routes betweeen the hubs, and those to international destinations for some, are generally the more popular and busier routes. The airlines can use smaller aircraft to service the generally lesser demand for some destinations Economics, efficiency and greater choice lie behind the 'model.'

Hi Kathy! It was great to finally meet you at the Spooktacular! I had a blast. Oh, and my flight this morning arrive 1/2 hour early too. I had to call my husband early and woke him up to come get me from the airport. HA!
