Hmmmmm.... the spices sound interesting, may have to try those - but it sounds like it would be really runny. I like a lot of veggies in mine, mushrooms, yellow squash, chunks of tomato. Do you make it this way for him now?

Sounds good and similar to a sauce I make (that Paul hates).

One of our neighors had a spaghetti sauce we loved - we call it Maria's spaghetti after her.

Instead of brown sugar, we use regular sugar and cinnamon sugar for the sweeter taste.

I don't like chili powder so I don't think I would use that.

Love my spaghetti.

Just curious if anyone has ever added "mustard" to their spaghetti sauce? My mom always did. It gives it a little bit of tang!!! Spaghetti....my favorite!!!

This recipe is from Mother Osmond's Cookbook. I just copied it for those of you that wanted the recipes that were in her book since it's out of print. I haven't ever tried this recipe for spaghetti sauce. I just recently noticed that it was in the cookbook.

Do you have any idea how old Wayne was in that picture? Interesting way to post now.

Wayne thinks that he was 14 years old in the photo. He also loves his thick head of hair. Ha!

Spaghetti was always my favorite dish growing up and Wayne's too! He still orders spaghetti a lot when we go out to eat. Italian food is Wayne's favorite.

Kathy the only place I get spaghetti is the Ole Spaghetti Factory!!! YUMMY!! But Spaghetti is my favorite too!!! Funny story when I was little we had spaghetti for dinner one night. My mom put the leftovers in the fridge and was going to put it in my dad's thermos for work later. He worked the graveyard shift. We all went to bed, my mom and dad laid for a nap and when she went to make his lunch, she could not find the spaghetti. Bowl and all were missing. He got a bologna sandwich instead. Ha ha When she came to wake me up the next morning she found the spaghetti. It was in my closet, on the ceiling, under the bed, all over the floors, all over me and the bed. Her comment: "I could have killed you!!!" So yeah I like Spaghetti!! LOL
