Kim's Photos of the Show, Meet and Greet and Birthday Party

Thank you so much for sharing your photos Kim!!!

"An Apple a Day Bunch"

Last night I pigged out on Wayne's delicious chocolate birthday cake so it's time for me to change my lifestyle permanently. The cake was so moist and yummy. I knew it was trouble when Terri and Mary Ellen brought it down to our hotel room. I love cake!

After having a physical and taking a bunch of well check tests, my doctor suggested that I lose 10 pounds and she'd prefer that it be slowly while making permanent lifestyle changes. Since it is September 1st tomorrow, what better day is there to start?

I hope that some of you will join me so we can support each other. I'm going to follow the suggestions of my doctor and hopefully I'll see some improvement. Here are my three goals.

1. Walk or dance every day
2. Try to get a little sunshine every day (The doctor hesitated before she answered my question on how I could strengthen my bones besides getting a lot of calcium and exercise? She mentioned that a dermatologist wouldn't like this idea, but it's a great way to absorb vitamin D)
3. Eat a low fat, high fiber diet

These are goals that I haven't been doing daily so that is why I chose these specific ones. What are your goals going to be this fall? It's hard to separate exercise from diet when we are making lifestyle changes so let's comment on both under "An Apple A Day Bunch" and eliminate the "Wii Fit" group. Is everyone ready to get started?

LET'S CHANGE OUR LIFESTYLE TOGETHER!!!

Everyone Can Post Now!

Many of you have told me that you were unable to post comments when you have tried.  I changed the comment settings so anyone can comment but I will be able to view it before it is posted on the blog. I'm hoping that now everyone will be successful at posting and I can still stop spam from being posted on the site.

Without comments the blog wouldn't be very fun to write so please keep the comments coming and any ideas or topics that you would like to suggest that we add to the blog. Please let me know if you have anymore problems posting your comments. You can email me at kathy@sourcedmediabooks.com or wonkthedonk@gmail.com

Many of you suggested at the first of the year that you would like to submit questions for me to answer. Since we'll be in Branson for awhile, I'll probably have time to post answers to your questions. You can email me the questions that you would like answered to the above email addresses too.

I have so much fun getting to know you all on the blog and in person. Thank you for contributing.

We Had a Party!

Opening Night in Pigeon Forge, TN

Wayne is relaxing backstage before the show begins.

The Brothers are in the audience meeting the people.

Terri, Bella and I enjoyed dinner before the show. It was yummy with homemade potato chips, barbecued beef, salads, baked beans and the most delicious chocolate chip cookies, etc.

The audience really seemed to enjoy the show.

After the show with Dot and her daughter Rhonda. Thank you Dot and Rhonda! Wayne loves his new orange T-shirt that has "60" and musical notes on it! I'm sure that you'll see him wearing it everywhere. Maybe I'll have a chance to wash his other favorite T-shirts now.

The Rockin' 60's

Happy 60th Birthday to Wayne! We spent most of the day traveling to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and arrived at our hotel on August 29th really, really early in the morning. It's going to be a busy day with interviews, rehearsals and a 7:00 pm show at The Smith Family Theater.

These photos were taken inside the Knoxville, Tennessee Airport right after we arrived.

What have you been up to this week?

Wayne has been diligently working on his stairs every day. I thought you might be interested in seeing how he is progressing. What a project!

This week I had a couple of preventative health tests done which turned out perfect! That means I didn't need to have them done? Wayne made a trip to Provo to finish up a root canal and a trip to the doctor who found a pocket of infection in his ear which was affecting his hearing.

Two days this week I had a fun time with Noah and Emma while Sarah went to work. They are both the cutest. Emma had a little fever this week and was stuffy but seems fine today. Noah wanted me to take this photo of him up side down then wanted to view the photos. So cute!

We're leaving for Pigeon Forge tomorrow on Wayne's Birthday. We'll have fun celebrating his 60th birthday this week with some of you that are headed to Pigeon Forge too. See you there!

Claire's Shower

This morning Sarah, Michelle, Emma and I drove to Highland to attend a bridal shower for Claire Olds. It was really fun to meet her, her mother, aunt, cousins and other members of her family and friends. Claire is a beautiful California blond with such a darling personality. She is just perfect for Stephen. Claire and Stephen Craig are getting married in the Newport Beach, California Temple next month.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DAD AND ANNELI!!!
(They share the same birthday - August 20th)

We're in Miami Tonight

We had a wonderful cruise! This morning we disembarked the Serenade of the Seas in St. Lucia. A Royal Caribbean employee drove us from the ship to the airport. Wayne called the drive "Mr. Toad's ride" because it was so curvy and a little scary. If his stomach hadn't been upset before we left on our drive it would have been by the time we arrived at the airport. We made it to the hotel in Miami without any major problems and delays so, all is well!

Our favorite place on the Serenade of the Seas is the Windjammer!

We're waiting to disembark the ship this morning.

Wayne came up missing but I found him.

Steve's beautiful daughter, Taylor, accompanied him on the cruise.
