I asked Wayne why there is always a screen in front of Jay's drum and he said that it keeps the sound of the drum separate. The screen keeps the sound enclosed so the drums don't leak into other microphones.

Father Osmond had a couple of old Kay guitars leaning up on the couch in the living room in Huntsville, Utah. Wayne, who was about 5 years old at the time, watched Alan pick up the guitar and play so he copied him. It was really easy for him to place his fingers on the right place of the fret bar. He couldn't figure out why it was so easy for him. He discovered later why it was easier when it was harder for him to pick the strings with his right hand than his brothers.

I have seen those screens at a lot of concerts I've been too. For years I didn't know why it was there.

We use to have the screens in front our drum set at our church, but they took it down. I don't know why because the drums everything else tunes us out and we can't hear each other.

Jimmy does the same thing. He's left handed too and to plays the keytar right handed and I think I saw in pictures he played the guitar right handed.

I think at Wayne's age. They are still learning if they are left handed or right handed. Other than playing the guitar, does Wayne do everything left handed? I'm left handed myself and I do some thing right, but I'm almost left handed.

I LOVE that drum solo!!!! I agree though, he must get pooped out! The boy sleeps good at night after expending all that energy!!!! Love it, can't wait till Bear Creek!!! It will be my first "non- Christmas" show in a very long time!!!

Wayne does everything left handed except playing the guitar, batting and kicking a ball.

That's so funny, Kathy....I'm just the opposite. I do everything right-handed, except any sport that involves a stick/club and a ball. When I played softball as a kid, I batted left-handed...but caught right-handed. I also played golf, broomball, hockey, etc... all left-handed, even though I'm right-handed. Interesting! :o)

My brother is a lefty and can pick a mean guitar. He has always played like a righty. He said you can restring the guitar to play left handed but it was just easier for him the righty way. Yeah for lefties. They are the only ones in their right minds.

My son Sean is left handed and on his 11 birthday he had a guitar as he was very interested in music. He had music lessons and after a few of them the teacher told my husband he would never be able to play as he could not strum the strings correctly. When my husband told him he was left handed, the teacher gave him a left handed guitar and he has never looked back.
