This afternoon after I finished washing some windows, I heard a chirping as I walked out of the garage. After looking around I soon found a baby squirrel nestled in some leaves right inside the garage in the corner. After scooting the squirrel and leaves out of the garage, the baby held really still while other people came to see it. Joe's mom, who was visiting her mother that lives next door, came over to see the baby and was worried about a dog or another animal eating the squirrel. A few minutes later while I was showing the squirrel to Noah, Joe's mom and Dad stopped by and took the squirrel home to make sure that it survived. Cute huh!

That is so sweet. I'm sure glad to read that Joe's parents gave it a home, I worry about things like that too. :-)
Waay CUTE! thanks for posting the pic! hope it survives away from it's mother. squirls are sooo cute! that and raccoons (although coons are mean and I don't think i'd ever want to get too close ha)

My uncle , when he was younger, he bought and cut timber - when a tree fell with a squirrel nest in it or a baby was found, he would call my mom and she would raise the babies until they were old enough to live on their own. I even raised acouple of black squirrels myself. Once a human sent is around a nest or it has been disturbed, the mom will not return to the babies.The only thing is you have to feed them like a baby and as often as one.But, it is worth it - I quess my mom is where I got my love for helping care for animals of all kind and helping them out until they can care for themselves.
I love the springtime! All the animals being born, planting plants and airing out the house. I just know Wayne must be planning his next "Project" around the house. I loved his last year side steps and walkway he built ( with alittle help from the grandson!)Good Luck making him rest and taking it easy! HA!
