This is in very large part what caused the distance between my husband and myself. He had a corporate mistress -- no less damaging than if he had had a human one really. The more he worked 16-18 hour days 6 days a week, the more robotic and computer-like he became. His professional and financial success came at a higher and very dear price as I became increasingly worthless. Moderation in all things, and keep your eyes on the eternal prize -- Important lessons not only to learn but employ.
